Meet Our Founder

Marcus C. North is an educator, leader, and visionary dedicated to reimagining what school can be for today’s learners. With over a decade of experience as a classroom teacher, building leader, and district administrator in Metro Atlanta, Marcus has witnessed firsthand both the promise and the gaps in our education system. His career has been driven by a deep belief that all students—regardless of background—deserve access to challenging, technology-rich, and creativity-driven learning experiences.

Drawing on his professional expertise and lived experience, Marcus founded M. C. North Academy to merge rigorous academics with pathways in computer science, engineering, and the performing arts. He has spent years researching high-performing instructional models, analyzing student achievement data, and engaging deeply with educators, parents, industry experts, and community leaders to design a school that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of Metro Atlanta’s families.

Marcus’s vision is clear: to cultivate scholars who think globally, act compassionately, and lead confidently in a technology-driven world. His work is guided by the belief that when students are challenged, supported, and inspired, they can transform their own futures—and their communities.
